Did you know? Violin family instruments are designed to be taken apart for repair. This is what it looks like…
This 4/4 cello had a cracked back and needed repair. While not a fine old instrument, part of what will happen inside while open, is additional finish work that was not performed by the original makers. That work will be a bit like adjusting a stock car, or tailoring clothes. This additional finish work will make this instrument sound MUCH better, in addition to the repair being done on the back.
